CARBERNET SAUVIGNON 11 x 14", oil (AVAILABLE !)

This particular piece was painted several years ago, and was part of a series I created that addressed the impact of modern technology on humanity. On many levels, technological devices such as cellular phones have become both status symbols and devices that have contributed to social conformity (the abolishment of the sense of self and the individual). I believe that our efforts to systematize the passage of time in today’s technological world have desensitized us, affecting our relationships with our families and friends, and hope that we can consider being more sympathetic and compassionate with one another.

WWII DAGGER-- "ICON OF FREEDOM"- ( SOLD!)
Painted in a 19th century traditional style, this icon is of a World War II German Dagger, recovered directly from Dachau, Germany. The dagger was used by the Third Reich RAD officers; now a relic that assists us in bearing witness to human tragedy taking place over seas. As an artist, I wish and pray for world peace, and believe artists have the capacity to impact the world for the better through promoting solidarity.
