About Me
Hall II has been a fine artist for over 20 years. He currently is an Associate Professor at Broome Community College in New York, where he teaches foundation courses in Fine Arts. Groat has had solo exhibitions at Roberson Museum of Art, Everson Museum of Art, Washington and Jefferson College, Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Finger Lakes Community College, Cazenovia College, Lemoyne College, and various other institutions. In 2004 he was included in an exhibition at the Roberson Museum Center, entitled Cosmos and Chaos: A Cultural Paradox, with artists Lucian Freud, Eric Fischl, Jerome Witkin and several other contemporary artists. Groat’s work was featured in a full-page advertisement in the January 2004 edition of ARTnews. Groat is included in private and public collections internationally,including Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta Jones, Clear Channel Communications, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Cellular One, Sheraton Hotel Corporation, Binghamton University, Everson Museum of Art, Munson-Williams Proctor Institute of Art, The State University of New York system, Roberson Museum and Science Center and Washington Jefferson College.

Just wanted to say how much I love your work. Your use of color is extraordinary. For example, I've looked closely at your paintings of Delicious apples and for the life of me cannot figure out how you make the reds around the highlight luminous. I've never seen anything like it and I look at a lot of art. Anyway, I visit your blog every day. I'm delighted when you've added a new painting.
