Martini Glasses, 11"x 14", Oil on canvas (SOLD! FIRST EBAY SALE)

PURCHASED BY ART COLLECTOR FROM COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

This piece was painted from direct observation in my studio under warm tungsten light. I'm very intriqued by Baroque painting, and the idea of realizing through paint a particular mood and atmosphere within a shallow space. Suggesting characteristic details is important, however I'm most concerned with atmospheric space, light, the evocotive nature of paint in itself, and discovering edges in forms that dissolve into the surrounding space.

Greetings,
If you don't have a blogger account, and rather not set one up, just leave a comment without a name. I'm interested in hearing what you think about the work, in addition to the international sustainable movement.
Thanks,
