A NIGHT AT THE OPERA 8x10" (SOLD!)

PURCHASED BY ART COLLECTOR FROM MADISON, WISCONSIN
The piece entitled, “A Night at the Opera” is the first of a new series that delves into “narration” and light-handed metaphor and allegory. I’ve been creating small still life studies for nearly four months, and now feel compelled to create still life work that expresses positive and spiritually uplifting aspects of the human experience—things that often go unnoticed and are taken for granted—however are instrumental in enriching our lives!

I believe the contemporary painter must find a way to address the "goodness" that is present within humanity (instead of the absurd and obvious social aberrations). The artist must connect and offer one hope within what many regard as a “depraved humanity”— calling attention to what can potentially elevate the human condition.

Greetings,
If you don't have a blogger account, and rather not set one up, just leave a comment without a name. I'm interested in hearing what you think about the work, in addition to the international sustainable movement.
Thanks,
